SP 72 - I fight in the soul of every person for their soul and their eternal happiness. Your - people's - weapon is free will. My weapon is love. Your free will condemns Me to various humiliations and torments every day. And the devils, with whom you cooperate in this (most often unconsciously), inflict wounds on Me.

I do not defend Myself. I defend the soul and to protect it I expose Myself to blows. I defend every soul by all means. I want to defend gently and lead gently. But when the soul breaks away and fights for its own destruction, I use drastic means and allow it to taste contact with the evil to which it so blindly strives.

Then there is great suffering of the crucifixion of the soul together with Me in its own interior. And then, when it accepts and sees this, its resurrection to life is born. I resurrect in it, because I am Life alone.

But it is also so that many a soul wins this battle for itself - and this victory is its death and My death in it - without resurrection. Death of Love, and therefore hell - sometimes for a time, sometimes for all eternity.
