Primary School 23 - Alicja: In church, an elderly person sat next to me and there was a very unpleasant smell coming from her. I wanted to change the place.
Then the Lord said: The stench of human souls in sin is much greater, and yet I do not go away and remain with them to free them. Pray and bear it out of love for her. I am in her soul too. Think about the smell that comes from your soul when you think you are cleaner.
SP 32 My bodily wounds complemented and illustrated the enormity of internal suffering when all the evil in the world entered My Heart. The suffering of the soul was much greater than that of the body. Stigmata are real pain, primarily spiritual. This is the truth and this is the share in My rewarding and redeeming suffering. By agreeing to accept My Wounds, you must agree to accept what My Hour and My entire human life contain.
SP 127 There is only one suffering: failure to satisfy the need for love.
SP 165 Suffering that can save is a grace and must be rejoiced in.

SP 169 Removing suffering without leading to GOD is nonsense, because suffering is a grace given for conversion.

Your own suffering is easy and even joyful if all your attention is directed towards GOD and towards your neighbor. My child, do not think about yourself, about this or that aspect of your life. Think of those who need to be cared for, to help them, giving them to Me, asking and doing penance for them. SP 433 My Child, you can show true faithfulness and love only in extreme conditions - and develop, strengthen and enrich it. What is valuable is what is achieved through hardship and pain. It also gives a sense of merit and joy in victory already here on earth, although everything is a gift of My Love: the effort, suffering, victory and joy of My child. I want My children to participate in building Good by improving themselves and participating in the improvement of their brothers. The Greatest Good was accomplished by the Sacrifice of Golgotha: Extreme evil was turned into perfect Good. This is the pattern and path for My children. That's why I became Man. SP 435 When you look at the world, don't be sad. Certain things have to happen for the turning point to come. You do yours from day to day, from moment to moment, trusting in Me.
Alicja: ... and the suffering and destruction of souls ...?
JESUS: Your calling is to save them through prayer and offering your hardships and sufferings and their hardships, sufferings and sins - maybe not as great sins as you think, because they are not aware of them. Maybe your sins are greater because you know Me and My will and the calling I gave you and which you accepted. Take much care - more about your spiritual activity in this area than about following the evil that attacks others. You will do more with a silent sacrifice than with emotions resulting from seeing evil in other people and in the world.
SP 465 My beloved child, I do not want to cause pain to anyone or allow suffering. I do this only when there is no other way (to) turn someone from the path to damnation. And also sometimes to help My chosen friends reach the height of holiness and at the same time expand My Kingdom of Love in hearts and in the world -- through a voluntary sacrifice of love as I did.
SDD 49 Alicja: What is suffering?
JESUS: My greatest grace, the one against which people defend themselves the most.
Alicja: Why are they defending themselves?
JESUS: They are short-sighted. They do not know Me and do not trust My Word. Moreover, it is not easy for the average person focused on worldly things. People like what is easy and what is pleasant, but unfortunately this is of little value or even bad. This is their tragedy, which they do not realize.
Alice: What to do?
JESUS: Pray more and more, because there is more and more evil and stupidity. It is not the words that count and not the duration of the prayer.
Alice: What matters?
JESUS: Devotion and trust. Absent-mindedness is a lesser evil than allowing thoughts that develop vanity and selfishness. Especially if it comes with the satisfaction that someone else is worse than you.
SDD 74 JESUS: If people do not want to listen to Me otherwise, I teach through events.
Alice: It's painful.
JESUS: Better is pain that leads to life than pleasure that brings death.
SDD 81 - Alicja: What role does suffering play?
JESUS: Purifies love from earthly connections. Makes the return easier.
SDD 95 When you are sore, I would like to see you happy and smiling. The path to holiness is paved with suffering. You have to endure a lot more if you want to follow it. You must endure suffering calmly with complete trust in My mercy. Be full of hope and enjoy the joy that awaits you with Me. Time will pass, and with it everything painful. Then there will be only me and only joy you can't imagine. Trust!
SDD 118 I will cleanse the world of evil. I will purify through suffering, and then people will turn to Me. And those who will remain will find Me and remain faithful to My Love.
SDD 180 Suffering facilitates entry into the soul. Helping others too.

Suffering that serves to build mutual love is joy.

SDD 342 Do not be afraid of other people's suffering. It really is a blessing. My Love allows you to suffer in order to avoid much greater suffering there - after death. For suffering to have redeeming value, it must be offered. You can do it for someone.
Alicja: Why don't I experience physical suffering?
JESUS: Because you gave Me everything and you are ready to accept any pain.
SDD 356 Alicja: What are we going to talk about?
JESUS: About suffering. I sent you to these sick people so that you could see how I suffer in them. How I am immobilized, helpless, dependent on the mercy of others. How they do not notice Me and ignore Me.
All this is the fruit of sin. Sin gave birth to suffering - and continues. Sin persists and my and your suffering persists.
Alicja: In some strange way you connected me with this sick woman and with these other completely helpless people. Their helplessness attracts me. I could be there to help them and share their fate.
JESUS: I have filled your heart with merciful love. The way I feel towards you - My helpless children entangled in sin.
Visit them. Bring My peace and My Love. And minister to them. And above all, pray for them and make sacrifices so that the grace of suffering that I have given them will not be wasted. They are My chosen ones, with whom I suffer together to save them.
SDD 386 JESUS: ... Don't be frightened by the way I take things. Death is only a transition.
Alica: And the suffering before?
JESUS: It is grace and the only possibility of returning to Me. Sometimes it takes great suffering and great terror to bring someone back. Everything I do, I do out of love and for the salvation of My children.
SDD 424 Alicja: What awaits me today, Lord?
JESUS: Accept purifying sufferings in peace and love. Be zealous, joyful and full of kindness towards everyone.
SDD 426 - Alicja: What is the line between kindness and stupidity? What's the difference between helping and serving someone's selfishness?
JESUS: You set this boundary with your attitude and your words. Don't be stingy in serving yourself. If you feel the injustice that comes to you for your kindness, it means that you are not yet mature enough to be a perfect victim. Don't take care of yourself, because you make it difficult for Me to take care of your affairs.
Alicja: I offered you this effort and you gave me peace. But first you made me understand the value of suffering - its enriching goodness. The feeling of injustice comes from surrendering to You and drowning in Your Love. So great is the sweetness of Your embrace and such generous consolation.
JESUS: You have learned what suffering is in its essence. Blessed are those who so accept it.
SDD 449 - ... There is no need to be discouraged by suffering. Quite the opposite. Every suffering is a grace that must be understood now and accepted with gratitude and inner joy. It always leads to a higher level of union with Me if accepted. Therefore it is a benefit, and those who cause pain are benefactors, although they do not know it or do it for other reasons. They too are My instruments and they do this by My will. Know that the people who caused you pain did the most good. Many who flattered you have done you wrong. Everything is My will and everything is a constant test to which you are subjected. This is a test of love: is there greater love in you than the evil that afflicts you? Love is strengthened and added to when you use it to oppose evil. The greater the evil that affects you, the stronger your love should be. Great was My love when I was hanging on the cross - love for everyone. I prayed most for those who caused Me the greatest pain. If you want to follow Me, you must accept this and desire that I teach you to love. My child, great sufferings, even the most terrible ones, are really small compared to the love you have in Me. What tiny touches you have already experienced, and what infinite vastness awaits you. Be brave, stay focused on Me. I am always with you and tenderly care for your ever deeper union with Me.
SDD 493 - Alice: Sometimes I feel afraid at the thought of suffering, which is my calling.
JESUS: It's a reflex of your human nature fueled by temptation. Be faithful to your soul's desires and don't look ahead. You will only receive what your love can handle. If it is big, it will carry a lot.
Alice: I would like it to be great.
JESUS: Thirst. Desire is a creative force.
SDD 579 - Alice: What else can I give you, my Savior?
JESUS: You will give everything - until the end, when the time comes. Now give Me your everyday life and your tears of love. Tears of love never dry. They are the pearls with which Heaven is adorned.
Alice: I'm asking for clearer words to stop if there's anything wrong with what I'm praying for...
JESUS: This I speak to everyone through his conscience. I also speak through the facts that follow, from which we must draw conclusions and ask Me why this is happening. You don't have to feel sorry for your suffering, you just learn from it. Suffering in a person's life is for him to understand his mistakes and get rid of them. How much I love My children whom I have to cause suffering, how much I feel sorry for them. With what care I look at their transformation born in pain. How happy I am when they understand the action of My Love and accept My bitter medicine with gratitude. When they reach out for them to be closer to My heart, because they love Me more than themselves. And when pain is unimportant, and only the love in Me counts. My little bride, you know what My love is. You have met her and you know that there is no suffering in the world that can surpass My love. Everything is worth enduring for her, to achieve the fullness of the love promised to everyone: Her greatness in the dimension of infinity and her tenderness in the details of everyday earthly life.
SDD 584 - Alice: I live between two feelings: the desire to go into the fire of Your love and sacrifice or the fear of suffering that is almost tangible. Take it all away and teach whatever you want.
JESUS: I took everything from you. Only love and fear remained. Then I will take away your fear too. Only love full of joy and suffering will remain. The suffering will continue until your sacrifice of love is fulfilled. Then joy will remain with Me and in Me.
SDD 598 - I do not make anyone suffer beyond their strength. I give as much as is necessary to build. Don't be afraid of suffering, neither yours nor anyone else's. It is very necessary and beneficial. You'll understand it someday. I love you, My children, and I desire your happiness so much. Everything is by My will and everything is necessary for your joy in Me and for the joy of those you bring to Me.
SDD 599 - Alice: Thank you for the burden of this day. Thank you for your love contained in this, because I have something to give you.
JESUS: You have seen how suffering brings you closer to Me and how it teaches you childlike devotion.
Alice: However, I still fail to recognize the extent of my guilt. Not so much direct guilt, but the evil that is in me and from which you heal me.
JESUS: All humiliation is a cure for pride and self-reliance. You have come closer to Me... When you give something to Me, do not return to it, because it is no longer yours. Learn such an attitude to gain freedom from what is from people, in general from everything that is not Me. Great is the freedom of God's children who care about only one thing: My love.
SDD 640 - ...Suffering is a medicine and this is its meaning. Suffering offered for others is a medicine with multiplied power. It heals the person who suffers and offers it much more effectively, and it also heals other people. Rejected suffering can not only bring nothing, but also multiply evil - especially when someone curses and accuses others - then it goes even further and deeper in mistakes and sins.
SDD 708 - Alice: You are testing me, Lord... Thank you for this.
JESUS: Keep peace and joy - let everything be a gift of your love for Me. And I will make it great.
SDD 752 - Alice: When will you give meaning to my life through suffering?
JESUS: Do you feel it little?
Alice: Much too little.
JESUS: Don't press me to speed up. Maybe I want your suffering now to be waiting and the inner torment you feel. Do you consider only physical pain to be suffering?
Alice: Maybe that's why I want it, because it would be easier to bear than what it is now. I don't know.
JESUS: And yet you should accept everything and only remain devoted.
Alice: It's all strange, because in this torment there is the sweetness of Your comforting closeness, my Lord.
JESUS: Do you think a loving Father can distance himself from a hurting child? Love and pain reside in the same basis and constitute one whole in human life on earth. Come, I will take you in, because many of the most difficult things are still ahead of you.
SDD 808 - I walked among the crowd and carried My cross. First I carried him, and then I died of love on him. And I embraced the world with my arms. My arms and the arms of the cross. Love and pain in this world are one. Don't choose the suffering that suits you better. I give what is most fruitful. The time will come when you will be only with Me. But that will be later. ...For this Love, continue in the daily torment of waiting for full union with Me - final and eternal.
SDD 850 - Alice: I want Your love, Christ, but I want Your suffering even more and more. You give to others, but not to me.
JESUS: Don't be jealous. Your desire soothes the pain that others cause Me. Rejoice in the hardship and pain of everyday life. Accept all ailments as a gift of My spousal love, because I share with you what is most precious. Everything you feel is anointed with the blood of My Wounds and My love. Accept it in the silence of your heart and remain with Me just as My Mother did. Learn from Her the most beautiful Love that man can achieve.
SDD 851 - Alice: Lord, you give suffering to people who do not want to accept it and defend themselves against it. I want it and you don't give it to me.
